Ingredients
Rolling Sugar Ingredients
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 3 teaspoons cinnamon
Servings: Cookies
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Mix butter, 1 1/2 cups sugar and eggs thoroughly in a large bowl.
  3. Combine flour, cream of tartar, baking soda and salt in a separate bowl.
  4. Blend dry ingredients into butter mixture.
  5. Chill dough and a couple of ungreased cookie sheets for 15 minutes in the refrigerator.
  6. Meanwhile, put 3 tablespoons sugar and 3 teaspoons cinnamon in a Ziploc bag and shake gently to combine.
  7. Scoop 1 inch blobs of dough and roll between your hands to make a ball. Drop several balls into the Ziploc bag and toss to coat. Remove from bag and place on ungreased cookie sheet 2-3 inches apart. Press down gently to flatten them a little. You don't want your balls to get away from you!
  8. Bake for 10 minutes until they start to get golden, remove from cookie sheet and place on cooling rack.
